PVC House Wires:-
"INDIAN - CAB FIREBRAKE" Flame Retardant Low Smoke (FRLS) PVC Insulated Wires for Building
wiring. Copper conductor PVC Insulated PVC Insulated wires are extensively used in residential and commercial buildings for power distribution. They are used on metal/plastic conduits either embedded in plaster (
Concealed wiring) or fixed on the walls.
In fifties, the use of electricity in household was limited to lighting during night hours and hence concessions were offered to
household to use electricity during day hours in domestic tariffs.
Today the scene has changed, a modern household has Air Conditioner, Geyser, Refrigerator, Vacuum Cleaner, Oven,
Washing Machine, Kitchen Machine, Hair Drier etc. The combined connected load of the above appliances works
out to be about 10 KW (14 H.P). A modern office has connected load of 5 kW per 100 Sq.Ft. of area. This
concentration of load has increased the risk of fire due to short circuit. Today 90% of the fires are
attributed to electric
short circuit and hence due care should be taken in selection and installation of electric cables.
PVC is a widely accepted insulating material for building wires due to its better abrasive and chemical
resistance, weatherproof, electrical and fire retardant
properties. We have enhanced the fire retardant properties of PVC by adding special additives in its formulation
to meet the demand of mo Flame retardant properties of insulating materials is measured by its Oxygen
Index. Oxygen Index indicates the concentration of Oxygen required in Air so that the material will burn like a
candle. The Oxygen Index of normal PVC is about 25% while that of out FIRE BRAKE PVC is 30% . Apart from
this our PVC
emits less smoke and HCL contents in the smoke is also less and hence fire fighting becomes easier.
